The City of South Lake Tahoe has partnered with NeoConnect and Tahoe Prosperity Center to improve our broadband services. We recognize the importance of high-speed broadband to improving employment, educational, and economic development opportunities in our community.
The City issued a Broadband Public-Private Partnership (PPP) RFP. One proposal was received which is under review. The City has supported a grant application for vendor implementation funding and is waiting on the outcome of the grant application. On a parallel course, Spectrum/Charter informed the City that they have implemented a symmetrical broadband service to provide high-speed service to all households and businesses in the City.
