City Manager
Responsibilities
The City Manager is appointed by the Mayor and City Council as the Chief Executive Officer of the City of South Lake Tahoe and is directly responsible to the City Council to develop and implement policies guiding the City.
The City Manager also directly manages the following functions:

Frank Rush
City ManagerFrank A. Rush Jr. came to South Lake Tahoe as City Manager in December 2018. Rush has 25 years of local government experience in North Carolina and is known for his commitment to public service, public communications efforts, emphasis on customer service, creative and prudent financial management, and successful quality of life initiatives.
He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a Master of Public Administration degree from North Carolina State University.
Rush comes to South Lake Tahoe with his wife of 20 years, Suzanne, and two children – Jacob and Matthew. They are all excited to join the South Lake Tahoe community.
