Special Event Agreement/Contract
Special Events occasionally create temporary impacts for adjacent properties, however, temporary events do not result in impacts that continue beyond or occur after the period of approval.  Temporary activities are allowed by the code to create temporary land coverage, temporary traffic and parking impacts, temporary advertising and temporary noise.  Measures are being implemented to mitigate the impacts.
A Special Event Agreement has been issued for the fourth annual SnowGlobe Music Festival.

Community Concerns
As a result of public input from previous year's event, several initiatives have been put in place. For ticketing, please call (800)350-8850. Please dial 911 for life threatening emergencies only, given the weather conditions and NYE festivities, 911 needs to remain open for emergency calls. Report all SnowGlobe event concerns to the hotline which will be checked throughout the event often and prior to the event twice per day.

Noise

  • Limitations have been placed on decibel levels
  • The bass (sub woofers) are placed near the ground
  • The speakers will be positioned downwards towards the field

Sound Management Plan

Trash
A comprehensive Waste Management plan will be implemented including an increase in the number of trash receptacles inside and around the venue.  Recycling containers will be on site as well as refillable water bottles and water refill stations to reduce the amount of plastic bottle waste.
Volunteers and staff will be required to routinely empty venue trash and recycling bins and ensure hot-spot areas (including entrance/exits) have adequate waste disposal capacity.

Parking and Transportation

The SnowGlobe Shuttle returns for 2016 providing safe and affordable transportation to and from the festival for all 3 days of the event. Based on your feedback from last year's shuttle system, we've both increased the number of shuttles running and selected a new pick-up / drop-off site built specifically for mass transit -- The South Lake Tahoe Transit Center [4114 Lake Tahoe Blvd].

Shuttles will run on a loop from the South Lake Tahoe Transit Center (4114 Lake Tahoe Boulevard) to the SnowGlobe Music Festival Entrance (1 College Way).

Buses will be running periodically (about every 30 minutes) during festival hours, so you're able to catch a ride to and from the festival whenever's comfortable for you. Shuttle passes are good for all 3-Days. Single Day Tickets include a complimentary Shuttle ride to-and-from the festival for that day.

SHUTTLES WILL BE RUNNING PERIODICALLY (ABOUT EVERY 30 MINUTES) DURING THE FOLLOWING HOURS:

Don't forget to pack plenty of layers and warm clothing in your suitcase -- it's going to be very cold! Temperatures are expected to be in the low teens range during the day and below 0 at night due to the wind chill factors this year.
