South Lake Tahoe, CA- Please share your ideas to shape the future of 56 Acres in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. There are many ways to participate before Thanksgiving. Take the self-guided tour onsite, take the online survey, and join us for a public online meeting.
Onsite Self-Guided Tour
What: Take a self-guided walking tour of the 56 Acres site to see the opportunities and give your input. This walking tour will take between 30 to 60 minutes and is approximately ½ mile in length.
Where: Recreation and Swim Center (1180 Rufus Allen Boulevard). Pick up the tour packet outside the front door of the Recreation and Swim Center.
When: From November 2 to November 20, 8am – 6pm daily.
What: Online survey to solicit public feedback to discover and confirm the program for the 56 Acres master plan.
When: Anytime between November 2 and November 20
Online Public Meeting:
What: Public online meeting to share information about the 56 Acres Project and solicit feedback from the public to discover and confirm the program for the master plan before preparing concepts this winter.

About the project:
This project is a collaboration between the City of South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, and the California Tahoe Conservancy to create a signature recreation and civic space in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. The first phase of the project was Lakeview Commons and a subsequent phase is the new Multigenerational Recreation & Aquatics Center under design now.
